Wow.
Wow. It finally happened. Today, 07.19.08, I got married. Jordan and Jennifer Murari. It's the best thing ever, it's made of pure win. Teh winz. I never thought I'd find someone that makes me quite as happy and Jenn does. | | Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 | | 2:23 am |

Probably the biggest announcement ever I got engaged today.
Yes, me. The serial dater. I'm ready to commit to one woman for the rest of my life. I love her that much. I'm the happiest I've ever been and I am so excited to be with her.
Her name is Jenn. We've been together since May. She's from Lynden, Wa. She's 22. She's taller than me by a couple inches.
The proposal was what I consider pretty classic Jordan. She came home from work today a bit later than normal and wanted to go out to get some dinner. So I put on my coat (Where I had concealed the ring) and was ready to go. I fairly nonchalantly said "Hey, why don't we do something fun tonight?"
"Like what?" She said
"I could propose to you..."
She laughed, and thought I was joking, exactly like I wanted her too.
So I quickly dropped down to one knee, pulled the ring from my pocket and said "I'm serious, Will you marry me?"
She was stunned for several seconds. Then she said yes took the ring and put it on.
We spent the rest of the evening calling friends that live out of town and visiting friends in-person that live here. We went out to her parents and told them too. It's been a long day and I'm tired. Time for bed...with my fiance.

Live from PDX
Here I am at the Portland airport at the tail end of a 2-day business trip down here. The trip went very well, I met some important people that I'm very glad I got the chance to start building a relationship with for the future. The real reason I posted this though was to lavish some praise on this airport. Two main things here, first off...free wi-fi. That's right, free. The main level of the whole place has free unsecured wi-fi. This is the only airport I've been to that has this. It's so nice to be able to log on and post, check my email, whatever while I'm waiting for my flight. Secondly, price controls. The businesses inside the airport and not allowed to jack up their prices like most airports, they have to price things the same as they would outside the airport. How awesome. | | Thursday, November 1st, 2007 | | 12:55 am |
Rocky Horror Picture Show I went to Rocky tonight with the girlfriend. Man, it brought back so many awesome memories of younger days. I had a blast. The crowd was pretty good. I'd guess about 5 people in the crowd, including me, knew the lines really well. My timing sucked though!
I think I got the best laugh of the night though, right after "What further indignities would they be subjected too" I shouted "They could go to Western" (The college where the show was). The room was silent before I said that and I got a really good loud laugh.
I'm tired, my throat hurts, but I'm happy. Goodnight. | | Monday, October 22nd, 2007 | | 10:09 pm |
Vegas Baby! So I went to Vegas for work last week. Had a great time in addition to the work stuff . I only really got one evening to do anything fun there. I'm fiending to go back! It's such an amazing spectacle.
Oh yeah, I played poker, and it was profitable, but only a tiny bit. That's right, my first Vegas poker trip was profitable. | | Wednesday, September 19th, 2007 | | 10:02 pm |
Job! I am very happy to report that I am once again gainfully employed. As of yesterday, 9/18/2007 I am not the Customer Service Rep in charge of Lowes for Smith Gardens of Bellingham, WA. This means that I do a lot of order entry, talking to Lowes store managers and changing orders when they want/ need it. I also will have a lot of other things to do around the office to help out. It's great I work with a small team of 2 other reps and our manager Mary.
Mary is awesome. She told me that she wanted to hire me from our very first interview. She really went to bat for me with HR and negotiated a VERY good offer for me to join the team. I honestly was expecting a bit less than I ended up getting. She said that she was prepared to be pretty insistent that I join the team, but the rest of the people invovled in the hiring decision were all on board anyway. I feels so great to actually be wanted at the company. It's just so easy to tell that they really want me there, not anyone, but me specifically.
I have so much to learn, man it's tough starting a new job. One minute I'll have no idea what's going on, then bam, work work work for the next 5 hours. I like it there so far though, much more than my last job. I am so ready to never go back to a call center. It's a couple weeks till I get paid, but I think I can hold out. I have debts that I have to pay back, but I'm going to make it. I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to do for a while. I was just falling farther and farther behind. I have to really thank my roomie here for being a huge help to me during this time.
I checked, and sadly, or maybe for the best, I can't get on LJ at work. | | Friday, August 24th, 2007 | | 11:51 pm |

PAX
Here I sit at PAX, we're just getting started up here. The best thing about this con? The whole place has free wireless. I'm not sure exactly what time I start my shift today. Maybe I'll be super busy....maybe not...probably super busy though. | | Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 | | 3:48 pm |
GenCon I'm going to GenCon for the first time in 5 years. I'm pretty excited. I have to put in a lot of work while I'm there, but I'm good with that. Heck, I'll enjoy it.
Anyone else going?

Well, back to the drawing board
As of today I am no longer employed by Cascade Natural Gas. I'm not entirely upset by this. Just really marking the date here. | | Saturday, May 5th, 2007 | | 3:36 pm |
Happiness is... Getting done with your event in Vancouver at 3:30pm and packing up to go home well earlier than you originally planned. I'm starting to get the hang of this tournament managing stuff. I have my paperwork nearly complete before I leave. I want to do some verification and I'll be set.
I'm done in plenty of time to go to my friends BBQ. Life is good, happy Cinco De Mayo. | | Sunday, April 22nd, 2007 | | 8:18 pm |
Tiring weekend
Well another Magic Prerelease in the books. I'm back home now, watching my Red Wings play the Flames and typing this up. I'm kinda tired, but not a complete wreck. It's been a very fun weekend though. The event went very well. Attendance was way down, which kind of sucked, but made my workday yesterday extremely easy. I really enjoy working with the staff up there in Vancouver. It's really feeling good to be developing a good judging staff up there. It's also super nice that I get taken care of REALLY well up there. Woot. In other news, I went and saw Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Film for Theatres the other day. Wow. If you're a ATHF fan you'll not be surprised to learn that the movie was mostly incoherent random jokes strung together into nearly a semblance of a plot. I have to say the first 2 minutes of the movie had me laughing so hard I was worried I'd be disturbing people near me. It's not some sort of classic that I'll have to own, but it sure was fun. Not much else going on really. I work the next 3 weekends in a row, I'm a busy man it seems! Oh well, not like I have much else going and the extra money is really nice. | | Wednesday, April 11th, 2007 | | 12:31 am |
Grindhouse! I had the extreme pleaseure of seeing Grindhouse tonight. I'm going to keep this post spolier free. Come one though folks, It's a zombie movie and a slasher flick...what are you expecting here?
Well in short, Rodriguez and Tarantino have done it again. Wow. 3 of the most fun hours I've had in a theatre in a very very long time.
First off, I have to say the faux trailers before and between the movies were just priceless. I would TOTALLY go see Machete. Danny Trejo is so damned intimidating looking!
Planet Terror was so much fun. It was a cheesy action zombie movie sure, but it was a FUN Cheesy action zombie movie damn it! It was incredibly gory. Also, we finally found a good use for Fergie.
Death Proof was great, but in a different way than Planet Terror. You have to love Kurt Russell.
Go see this movie!

Cleaning House!
I've spent the last 2 hours cleaning my disaster of an apartment along with my roomie. Now, I realize that my cleaning standards are best described as "Boy clean" and not "spotless" but still. It looks about a million times better in here Wow. We got the Living room, Kitchen and Bathrom all done. I have to tackle my room now....That's going to take some effort and I'm starting to run out of time. I have a date at 6:15. I'm so glad that my house isn't a complete wreck now though! |
