Have you seen a Tim Burton movie? Do you like Tim Burton?

Wow. Tim Burton is a genius. Not just a good film-maker, but inspired. It's been a long time since I read the original book. I need to go back and do that now. I remember most of it though, it wasn't that long ago! After seeing the movie I'm amazed. The movie was just so incredible. Easily a 4 star experience.

Let me say that it's NOT a kids movie. I'm sure any children that see the movie will like it, but it's not intended for them. I doubt they'll get how much is just WRONG with the movie, but it's there. Burton is one twisted guy. Seriously Seriously Seriously twisted. Ronald Dahl that wrote the book is pretty twisted too for that matter.

Danny Elfman's music was amazing, he even sings the Oompa-Loompa songs. Wonderful job. The colors are so great it's so rich and vibrant where it needs to be. It's muted and almost washed out in some places. It's stark and sharp in others. The cinematography is just outstanding.

Go see the movie if you want a bit of the twisted. It's awesome.
